We have missed on spring in the mountains but have been blessed to be able to watch it from a camera trained on the front yard. I have seen my daffodils bloom and fade, watched the Peonies peep and the Knock Out roses bloom. Last of all, we have watched the grass grow tall and the weeds!

After a week of fretting and moaning, I finally was set to return to North Carolina and flee the Florida Summer heat. Last week after unsuccessfully attempting to make an appointment with my North Carolina eye specialist due to doctor to doctor issues, I gave in. “Lord, I said, I’m tired of trying to force my timing, so whenever.”

Logical Reasoning Explained In Rhyme

Logic, now there’s a funny word.
Devised to explain something that’s really quite absurd.
It requires one to filter thoughts flowing within the mind
That saves one from saying things that can be quite unkind.

Not many folks are logical
It goes against the grain
Of those that are cynical
And act rather strange.

Reason, now there’s a funny thing.
Reasons are free until one asks a question that is unreasonably baffling.
Reasons require thoughts that many don’t possess.
Reasons are the reasons why sycophants say—yes!

Not many folks are logical
It goes against the grain
Of those that are cynical
And act rather strange.

Reasons are logic dressed up in many words.
Reasons are the logic behind the writers of crosswords.
Many reasons that are logical hide behind a lie.
Now comes my logical reason for saying—Goodbye.

I am writing this blog to share my random thoughts and reflections about my experience of sexual abuse from the Jesuit whose name is Fr. Ruben Tanseco. I consider writing and expressing myself as a therapeutic activity. An important goal of this blog is therapeutic on my part as a victim of sexual abuse. I may mention names of persons and organizations for the sake of truth and transparency, not to discredit anyone. I do not intend to defame anyone. snoozetern.

I didn't have my glasses on....

If your summer plans already include laying in bed all day, you may be the perfect fit for the Mattress Firm’s new job opening. The company is looking for a “snoozetern” to test mattresses at their Houston, Texas headquarters by sleeping in them.

The Mattress Firm’s intern will be paid to spend 30 hours a week lounging in bed this summer. Job duties include assessing “the optimal head and foot positions” for reading, eating, binge-watching, and of course, sleeping in bed. When they’re awake, the snoozetern will also be responsible for creating written and video content for Mattress Firm’s website and social media platforms.

The ideal candidate is 18 or older, has housing and transportation access in the Houston area, knows how to use video editing software, and is “passionate about sleep and comfort.” Mattress Firm will select three to five finalists out of the applicants to create a short…

Love has no conscience.
Love takes no blame.
There is no heart that love cannot claim.
Love is a trip.
Even the insightful love can outwit.

Love knows no reason,
Nor a time and place.
One love another love can quickly displace.
Love can be a contract.
That contract can be inexact.

Love flatters. It can also betray,
Those whose in its arms it once did lay.
Love is kind. Love is cruel.
Love can turn a wise man into a raging fool.
Love can shine bright like the polar star,
And love can leave a heart with the deepest scar!
