I knew a woman once who would say; “tell me you love me” knowing that I didn’t in the sense that she meant, nor she me. It was purely for reassurance and the feeling of belonging. Another I knew would have ran a mile if those words ever passed my lips. She needed the reassurance of noncommittal to a relationship. We are all the same but so different in our search for that comfortable place to park our emotions. Are we a concept in our own imagination, fitting the requirements at any given time? Could it be said that we are fictitious, moulded to the dream never really knowing what we truly are?

Throughout my life my emotions have been my driven force, seldom have I thought before I’ve leapt. I have felt the passion of love and, fleetingly, the opposing one of hatred. I have shared in others grief and sat alone in my own. I have briefly touched those heights of acclaim and tasted the disdain ascribed to me as envy turned to derision. Would I change? you may ask. Would I want another chance at this life, perhaps avoiding the laughter and pointed fingers? Then no would be my answer. Is it not those times when we have to pick ourselves up, that make us into what we are?

If you have never been sad you can never be glad; just a thought.

I’m Danny Kemp. I exist in a bubble called imagination but I thought I would share this with you all: I was speaking to a lady from a ’Head Hunters’ consultancy, and I asked her what criteria she used to select suitable candidates to interview for those top positions she, and her company, were asked to fill. She used the word; JEDI… Judgement, Empathy, Drive and Intelligence. All four attributes they would have, before she even considered them. We might want to ask ourselves whether we have all or only some of those.
These qualities are, of course, subjective to her interpretation and the role that she has to select and interview for. Could you improve your own perception on any of these aspects of your psyche.
Wouldn’t it be good if we all exhibit those characteristics in our everyday lives and to all that we meet?

Just a simple thought that I wanted to share: If you have never felt sad, then you can never feel glad.

I have listened to the show broadcast of last night on this link… http://t.co/GRVkU3RF… To be honest I think I died a little near the end and would love the chance to re-do that bit but it was my first time so, forgive me. The Competition idea came suddenly and was all I could think of, hope it was OK. Off to work soon and back to reality, the only trouble is that I’m still following my dream and still there are no rules in that dream. Hoping no-one puts any there.

For those of you that don’t know me I would like to introduce myself and ask for your support. I’m at the beginning of what I hope to be a new career, a writer. My second ever book is now at the printers awaiting its turn to become tangible. I started this journey as a result of a Road Traffic Accident that effectively put me out of paid work for three and a bit years, I wrote to fill that void in my life. I had a dream, and as I’m often saying here on F/B or Twitter..”I’m following that dream and there are no rules in dreams.” However, my drive and ambition has now lead me to a point that is alien to me: An American interacting live radio show with a subscribed audience of 80.000 listeners! I’m a Londoner and proud to be. I have no English ‘plum’ in my mouth and I’m conscious of that fact, I’m nervous that I wont be well received. I’m aware that this is a ‘virtual world’ in which we all communicate with each other but, I would greatly appreciate your support albeit that it will be ‘virtual.’

For the friends that I have here, and for those that have become more closer than merely of a virtual status living across that body of water that divides our two countries, I have news that may change your vision of the UK in general. The South East of England, and that includes London, has joined the Eastern region of England in being officially declared as an Area of Drought. This has been caused by two exceptionally dry winters. Apparently we need four months of constant rain for the reservoirs to fill significantly to avoid a hose-pipe ban this coming spring and summer. I saw a sign in a shop today that sums up the situation admirably I thought…..’Save Water, Drink Champagne.’ I don’t know what those who are having a particularly hard time financially will think of that, lets hope their reaction is not the same as the French, after Marie Antoinette famous advice.

This was a comment I found on a group in Face Book and I choose to add mine.
Too Tall
Why is there a Black History Month? Isn’t that reverse racism? And why is it still Black History Month, instead of African-American History month? Don’t things like this keep us divided? Why not just a history month when everyone celebrates the history their particular group had? Where’s Irish History month, Polish history month, Spanish History month, well hell we’d run out of months before covering a smidgen of the various groups that contributed to the rich history of this country. Where is Chinese History month? I think it’s time we got over all this divisionary bs. You’re born here, you’r American, that’s it. No hypens needed.

I like your comment about being born American and ALL should be referred to as such, without any qualification to that status. I’m English but I’m not allowed in census forms to say that, I must be British. All forms of discrimination is wrong, we are what we are and share a world that despite us survives. We go a long way to destroying its construction for want of the understanding each other. We tell our granddaughter that if you were blind and someone helped you cross the road, why would the colour of that mans skin be of any consequence, it’s his help and kindness that is noticed. I feel shame over how the English and the rest of my nation treated most people in this world down the centuries, but it was not me. The past should be remembered as a guide to what wrong we have all done to each other and how not to act in the future. Some day, soon I hope, we can all live together with only a glimpse at our past and all our attention on that shared tomorrow.

Final post before a climb to the land of Nod… There are many parallels that can be drawn between life and sport, especially physical sports. One of the first things you are taught in Judo, for example, is how to fall without injuring yourself. No matter what situations you have to confront in life, and as we all know there are many, there is one thing you can be sure of; you wont always come out on top.
Your victory and courage, however, comes from the understanding of that fact, and your continuing willingness to face those conflicts and more. It is often easier not to challenge yourself than face up to possible disappointment. As someone far more learned that I once said..’It is better to die as a Lion than live like a Lamb.
Incidentally £4 out of pocket tonight..any benefactors out there.
