Her smile was so intense it beggared belief.
It beckoned, it said. “Give me relief.
Take me from this place. Give me breath,
If I were to stay I face only death.
I need to be wanted. I need what you can give.
Give me love. Give me a reason to live.”
“I’ve given my body, but never my soul.
I’ve toyed with passion. I’ve fulfilled that role.
Many a man I have led astray.
I have given in to what is their way.
But now I need a reason, not a lie.
Give me love or else I’ll die.
