I’m grateful for so many different people in our NHS who have either treated me or cared for me in one way or another over the last fifteen to sixteen months when I’ve had three operations, and the anonymous ambulance crew who rushed me to the hospital when I was suffering from sepsis and faced an early exit from this world.
But my thanks, and yours as well I hope, should go to some people we will probably never see, let alone know: the scientists and researchers who developed the vaccines used to fight this pugnacious virus that affects the whole world.
Unless and until everyone has had the vaccination we as individuals can not and will not be safe. Please, if you know anyone who refuses the vaccination talk to them and reassure them as to the safety of the vaccine against the danger they present not only to themselves, but to us as well if they do not take up the offer.
Keep safe and stay well.
