A Comment About The Desolate Garden.

People are all different. Some are kind in their comments, and others the opposite. But there’s a third type; those that go that step further with their warm-heartedness and compassion.

This is from Diann Polchinski. I hope she doesn’t mind me reposting it.

Diann wrote:

“Danny, I got your book on kindle for my dad. He read it twice and was so hoping to see it as a movie. Sadly he died almost two months ago. In the 8 years he lived with us he read over 300 books. Yours was one of the few he read twice and one of the very few he gave top marks to. So, when the movie is made, I will go to see it for him. Ok, for me to, lol. I thank you for giving my dad hours of great reading and please know, he hoped you would write more and never give up on seeing it make the big screen.”

It knocked me over!

BRAVO, by Danny Kemp

c88218bf133566af8e384fa921b4e242-1

I am bored by banality,
Give me wisdom, show me hope!
You show me life through a one-dimensional telescope.

Widen your scope. Venture somewhere new.
You’re taking your opinions from the back of the queue!

Form your own thoughts, think something fresh.
You are not a machine, you’re made of living flesh.

Step over the threadbare. Walk away from the shallow.
Let the violin play and hear the cries– Bravo, Bravo, Bravo!

Forever!

ec54a4e73ab83311ed47d7a92a18268a

Forever!

As the clouds touch the mountains, and the sea washes ashore,

So my whole life I do devote to you; forever more.

As the sun warms our hearts, and the rain cleanses our skin,

Let love be our companion and we’ll stay; forever therein.

As our spirits never fade, nor our devotion never part

I wish these words to be engraved; forever in your heart.

As life closes in, and our earthly allegiance must die,

So my loyalty and respect for you will; forever lie!

Where Do You Belong? By Danny Kemp

7bd381d2f808be7d282e66205a0ee75f

Could you allow your doubts to dance

In the ghostly shadows of your mind,

And encourage the deafening silence,

Pushing previous worldly thoughts way behind?

If so, you might find the peace you’ve always wanted,

Laying abandoned in a corner never roamed,

And discover your true, hidden soul

That no one has ever owned!

If you feed these new beliefs wisely,

Thereby making them ever strong,

You may find, that when fully believed,

That will be the place where you genuinely belong!

A Prayer, A Plea or Just A Wasted Hope? By Danny Kemp

629e1fd2ea55547532618d37a8dabaeb

Give hope the freedom to spread its wings

To carry love and all love brings

To hearts that froze and cannot be sure

Of how to feel and fall in love once more.

IT’S GETTING COLD, by Danny Kemp

d2878946a8f6fdb3786a814e0bddcd3a

It’s Getting Cold!

Black barked trees with dangling seeds,

Chestnuts falling through brown stained leaves.

A rotting trunk in waters cold,

Ducks swimming passed with colours bold.

A solitary boat tied to a rusty cleat,

A dipping sun, scant of heat.

Coats now, where T-shirts were worn.

Smiles replaced by cold looks of scorn.

Winter approaches with its shorter days,

Moon lit nights in a ghostly blaze.

Chilled is my blood as I feel the cold.

Is this just another sign of getting old!

Love Beneath The Stars. By Danny Kemp

d9725ec4b74418604a094ef6cb6ed831

Love Beneath The Stars.

The Star of love spoke to me,
As beneath I walked silently.
Enticing words that gnawed and chewed,
Without my resolve being renewed.

I tried to resist, I knew I should.
I told myself it would be no good.
But did I listen, did I hell.
Into the trap headfirst I fell.

The promise faded, as all must,
When built on feelings of simple lust.
Passion is fickle in its extreme,
Always searching for a younger dream.

Stars cast shadows over all eyes.
That only a fool will try to deny.
Love consumes. It take its toll.
It takes away your very soul.
