Did God Create Time, Or is God Time? (A Philosophers Dream)

6003699fe565f3e3ef56e8fcdea90ccc

TIME.

‘In the beginning was the word,’ or, if you are a believer of the big-bang theory, in the beginning, was a cosmic explosion from which we all originated.

However, before either of those two occurrences, there was something else in existence.

It was Time. Without there being Time, neither event could have happened. No word could have been written, spoken or thought, and no explosion taken place.

It was Time that introduced the solar system that we know, and it will be Time that will end it.

If you accept this premise then, to use a modern parlance, the rest of my discourse is a given!

Darwin argues that we evolved from a unicellular organism, an amoeba type creature, into what we are today. I personally disagree with that, but I will not discuss my beliefs here.

Suffice it to say that whether he is correct or Christianity is right, both required the unhindered assistance of Time.

I use the word, unhindered, deliberately, as Time could not care less how we, as humans, use it. Why should it?

What we do with the gift is our choice.

Time is omnipotent, eternal until it decides to end itself.

If you are about to argue that it will be a man who ends the world, I will not disagree, but Time will still exist!

No matter what we do we cannot change it in any way, shape or form. It is yesterday, today and tomorrow. It is perpetual.

The missing energy source that if bottled, would solve every problem ever created. It is not tangible though, but I would suggest that it’s not abstract.

We spend Time watching time pass.

There are two entities in Time. There is Time in perpetuity, and time the movement, that governs all.

Time creates, as it does destroy. It has power over our very thoughts and purpose. The forever asked question; “is there enough time?” Answered by, “I wish there was!” But there is.

Only it’s not there for us. It is there for Time to use, as it alone decides.

Man invented a clock as a way of measuring and regulating time.

But Time does not recognise that system of quantification, why would it?

It has no need to calculate, as it had no need to begin, and as far as an end product is concerned, why would it have one?

We both love and despises the movement of time. We blame it for passing slowly, or quickly depending on the circumstances, then praise it for the same reasons.

Seldom do we notice Time, the creator.

Time is good. Time is bad.

So, what’s my point in this? I cannot provide you with any clues as to its source, but can you see an analogy here, a comparison with belief?

In the Scriptures, believed by some, God sent his only Son to earth to die for our sins. When God’s son was here he was abused. He still is!

Could Time and God be the same? Could time be Jesus Christ? Could the Bible be an early philosophers dream?

I hope I have sown many questions into your mind.

It’s a great thing to have time to ask such things and an equally great thing to be allowed by Time to ponder.

~The Inner Divine~

SiobahnSterling's avatarSiobahn's Garden of Grace

Haitian sunset

Wrapped in trenches of pride and enveloped by the passion of greed,

Lies the essence of humanity amidst a dying breed.

Chaos surrounds every flicker of light,

Preventing trust from developing within the night.

Clouds and rain drench the possibility of truth,

As humanity defies the existence of their youth.

Despite the struggle and pain,

The strength to conquer remains,

And the inner divine allows them to shine,

Giving the world something to gain.

CREDO UT INTELLIGAM. By Les Bush

784995a4482546b60fef95d6da00fec7

“I believe” is an equal opportunity phrase, there is no rank or privilege on this mortal coil turning and travelling through time and space.

It is a right born of existence. Beyond your control.

Do not your proclaim your belief as a right to command or impose. Speak not of Royal Decree, personal illumination from beyond; the threat of force is the threat of force.

Threats are threats, lies are lies, even dressed in smiles and misinformation.

Quote as you might your books, your texts diligently learned; they are not marks of merit, however assiduously earned.

Start an argument if you wish; assert your beliefs with conviction. State your case, stick to the issue. I advise you, beware!

Tell me no lies, no matter how small; no cynical self-serving abuse of the language I so value; twist and turn it at your own peril.

It will not be insulted; it carries in its syntax the blood and sweat of too many writers and poets. In the end you, your falsehoods and poisoned rhetoric will be exposed.

We argue, debate or disagree; this is the nature of those who are free.

The issues will be neither old nor new, whatever your current view.

It is an eternal quest for understanding how that structure there is chaos, and how structure can be born out of chaos. How can be being and non-being co-exist?

So my enemy, my friend, my fellow human being; let’s call a brief respite, a truce.

Meet in this place, to converse and consider a hypothesis, it goes like this:

“We fight and squabble, reach out and connect; are caught in History’s flow.” Choose your beverage, take a seat; let’s see where the conversation goes.

Les Bush 30 March 2014

The title, “crdeo ut intelligam” is the Latin translation of “I believe in order to understand”.

THIS PERFECT DAY. By Susan E. Birch.

462f8b52d5574693eb5c89f44adc328c
The Perfect Day
Sometimes I wish that I was blind
To the beauty of this Earth.
It hurts to see such majesty
Despised and without worth.
Sometimes I wish that I was deaf
To the siren-song of Ocean.
Despoiled womb, humanity’s doom.
Toxicity in motion.
I wish that I could lose my mind.
Understanding without standing
My lone voice with little choice
Grown hoarse and undemanding.
We live in Levin’s ‘Perfect Day’
Our drugs arriving sight unseen
Make Room! Make Room for the Earth’s doom.
Passively consume our Soylent Green.

OUR BEGINNING. By Shabeeh Haider

2becc5ef2cff47839ce133d778bbe795

OUR BEGINNING.
It feels so grand, to hold your hand,
And walk wherever you will lead,
The stars above, shining with love,
And you by me, is all I need.

Just one last while, these lips will smile,
As we will cross this endless shore,
Your hand in mine, will make things fine,
I’m sure a man cannot want more.

We will move on, all worries gone,
For we have cut ties with this Earth.
The splashing waves, will form our graves,
As we enter the Land of Mirth.

The moon and stars, shall bear the scars,
That we had once borne on our hearts.
The sun will rise, up in the skies,
And find us where the New Life starts.

Bring Back Our Girls Written by: Melvina Germain

cbf117bc6400a5214c3327e4c50b146b

Thunder cracked their silence of sleep.
Wretched men, horrid thieves emerged.
Kidnapping our most precious jewels,
Many boisterous slaves of Satan rules.Evil blasted through the walls of peace,
and that cadence so held within the air
soon faded to ruptured horror feared.
Shock filled, terror building screams.
Our innocent ripped from peaceful dreams.

To the hands of filth and angry men,
we weep buckets of tears wanting to see
our girls again. Mothers, Fathers, pain so
stricken, “Bring Back Our Girls” to the land
of the living.

We pray our girls are held without pain,
and empty threats in our media heard.
When silence befalls such lips of horror,
despicable images in minds emerge.

O the world seems silent, in shock we sit.
Every man and woman knows not what to do.
We can only pray that those in power, will
forcefully come after the likes of you.

May the higher power intervene and show
our girls a means of escape. May Jesus
walk within the scene and hold on tight to
our precious beings. Lord don’t take them
home O no not yet, bring them safe and
sound to a parents safety net.

Bring Back Our Girls Father, I know you can,
there’s nothing in this world bigger than you.
I pray in the name of your son, Jesus Christ,
our world is now depending on you.

Bring Back Our Girls

The Onset of M.E.

sherrielowe's avatarPhoenixsong

Memoirs aren’t for everyone, some people like them, some don’t. I haven’t led an outstanding life, more one where my well laid plans went wrong. That’s not glass half empty, that’s fact – full glass being drained. I’m sure many people will relate to this. In 1995, just after my 40th birthday my plans went wrong in spectacular fashion. This excerpt from my memoir BETTER OR DEAD, sequel to Shadow Across the Sun, is how it all started.

If you can identify with it and subsequently download the book, I’d be so grateful for a review on the book’s Amazon page.

Many thanks.

It was sometime after the Easter holidays that I started to feel weird. I couldn’t put my finger on it at first. I’d just feel a bit disorientated. It panicked me a little. I wondered if I’d got epilepsy coming on. What if I had? I wouldn’t…

HE and SHE….A Funny One.

911UP+FYO+L._SL1500_

Taken From Anything But Hackneyed.

A…He…and…She.
She washed out His washing, and hung it on the line.

The weather was beautiful, the weather was fine.

But She hadn’t noticed that He hadn’t undressed,

So He hung there all day, very distressed!

He baked in the sun throughout that day.

He whined, he moaned, He pined away.

The sun bleached His hair, it burnt His skin

Oh, did He make such a terrible din.

The neighbours called the police. They broke inside.

They rescued Him, barely alive.

They took Him to hospital and there He is now

No one can believe that He married such a silly……

Reality or Not?

911UP+FYO+L._SL1500_

Taken From Anything But Hackneyed.

Reality Or Not?

Indifference built the walls, that locked creativity in.
Self-interest added the wire, that compounded that sin.
Expression was apprehended as complacency swallowed the keys
There was no public trial, and no one listened to the pleas.
Innocence was the next to fall, trampled and crushed.
As to the deviance of wickedness all had rushed.

Greed played its hand, and what a hand it held.
Untiringly inviting, ‘till all felt compelled.

Step forward compassion with the purest of heart. “Where do we begin,” it said? “Where do we start?

The battles have been lost that’s true, but the war is yet to end. We must stand together as one, and this world we must defend.

This world existed before us and will survive beyond our years. Hide away your diffidence and shed no more tears.

Creativity will be our sword, expression our eloquent speech, And innocence, it will be you, that bursts through the breach.

That which those four bearers of evil, has bestowed upon us all. Is now ended, and this will be our rallying call.

We must conquer and divide. We must succeed this day. That is my pledge of allegiance I offer to the God to whom I pray.”

Hope was recalled, where deep in memory it lie. It joined the side of righteousness and raised its banner high.
The skirmish was uneven, as conscience won the day. The forces of evil were vanquished and sent far, far away.

Suddenly I awoke, as the day shone into my room. It was a dream you see, and I was engulfed, in the unchanged GLOOM.

If and Then.

fa31a91477a489893f91b3ce7eb064fe

If…..

Are you stuck in traffic? Are you stuck in life?
Are in the wrong relationship, with the wrong wife?
Have you lost your way? Can you not find your way back?
Is there something missing, something you perhaps lack!

Then…..

Turn the car around. Get a new life.
File for divorce and find a suitable wife.
You can make a new start at any moment in time.
All you have to do is change your state of mind.

The mind is not an object. It’s an energy to engage.
Burst out of your prison, no longer be its slave.

Danny Kemp.
